To pass your 3rd Kyu grading, you will need to have attended the relevant number of sessions and shown an appropriate level of ability, effort and attitude.


Gradings are a formal test of your ability and learning. You are expected to demonstrate the required techniques to the best of your ability.


You will need to perform the following:


Khion (Combinations):

TBC


Kata:

Shodan, Nidan, Sandan and Yondan


Sets:

Set 1, Set 2, Set 3 and Set 4


Self Defence:

Against holds and grabs

Against weapons


Pad, Mitt and shield Work:

Timed continuous punches and kicks

Punching and kicking techniques


Kumite (Sparring):

4 x 2 minute rounds of continuous free sparring against an opponent


Fitness:

22 x repetitions for each of the following exercises:

  • Push ups
  • Sit ups
  • Jumping Jacks
  • Windscreen Wipers
  • Squats
  • Skip Jumps
  • Jump Jump Squats

Hold the plank for 1 minute and 30 seconds
