
To pass your 3rd Dan grading, you will need to have attended the relevant number of sessions and shown an appropriate level of ability, effort and attitude.
Gradings are a formal test of your ability and learning. You are expected to demonstrate the required techniques to the best of your ability.
You will need to perform the following:
Khion (Combinations):
TBC
Kata:
Shodan, Nidan, Sandan, Yondan, Godan, Kushanku, Naihanchi, Seishan and Chinto
Sets:
Set 1, Set 2, Set 3, Set 4, Set 5 and Set 6
Self Defence:
Against holds and grabs
Against weapons
Pad, Mitt and shield Work:
Timed continuous punches and kicks
Punching and kicking techniques
Kumite (Sparring):
5 x 3 minute rounds of continuous free sparring against an opponent
Fitness:
50 x repetitions for each of the following exercises:
- Push ups
- Sit ups
- Jumping Jacks
- Windscreen Wipers
- Squats
- Skip Jumps
- Jump Jump Squats
Hold the plank for 3 minutes
