To pass your 2nd Dan grading, you will need to have attended the relevant number of sessions and shown an appropriate level of ability, effort and attitude. 


Gradings are a formal test of your ability and learning. You are expected to demonstrate the required techniques to the best of your ability.


You will need to perform the following:


Khion (Combinations): 

TBC


Kata:

Shodan, Nidan, Sandan, Yondan, Godan, Kushanku, Naihanchi, and Seishan


Sets:

Set 1, Set 2, Set 3, Set 4 and Set 5


Self Defence:

Against holds and grabs

Against weapons


Pad, Mitt and shield Work:

Timed continuous punches and kicks

Punching and kicking techniques


Kumite (Sparring):

6 x 2 minute rounds of continuous free sparring against an opponent


Fitness:

45 x repetitions for each of the following exercises:

Push ups

Sit ups

Jumping Jacks

Windscreen Wipers

Squats

Skip Jumps

Jump Jump Squats

Hold the plank for 2 minutes and 30 seconds
