| Saturday 6th August 2011 . Ten students were selected to grade and after taking part in the normal session they were ready to prove that it was the correct decision to select them . To be eligible to grade they had to prove to me to a very high standard the following aspects . Combinations ,Partner Combinations ,Kata ,Sets ,Self Defence /Weapons ,Focus Mitts work ,Shield Work ,Q Pads and then Exercises ,Stride Jumps and ending with the one they all love Skipping(higher the grade more you do). At the end i was pleased to say they had all reach the required mark ,some with ease .After the presentation of Certificates and Belts ,plus a few words from senior grades it was time to close the grading . After over 3 1/2 hours of Karate they all did a great job . Now they have to live upto the grades especially the new 1st Kyu's who excelled themselves . |
