| JOINT COURSE WITH WHITE TIGER MARTIAL ARTS Sunday May 20th 200; Eight; students(including myself)from LFK joined up with WTMA in rustington for a joint course .It was a really enjoyable course . Instructors for the course were Sensei Damon; and; Sensei Sally founders of White Tigers assisted by; Sensei Della 1st dan plus Myself (Sensei Ray ) .After a warm up taken by Sensie Sally ,the students were paired up and then I took the first part of the course which was Sparring and Combinations Techniques . They; also had to do a forefit&when one student demostrated a reverse punch during a kick only round,afterwards they all seem to pay attention .So when i was sparing I did a kick during a punch only round just to get them to do another forefit.Sure they liked it .After the sparring the next hour was taken by Sensei Damon who showed some excellent and effective self defence techniques .He also showed a few defensive moves involving Knife attacks(something all instructors of martial arts hope never happen to any of their students). On behalf of all Lancing Freestyle Karate students a big thank you to WTMA for putting on the course and hopefully later on in the year we can repay the complement and have them down to our club on another joint course. Thank you for the effort put into the organisation and we look forward to the next joint venture Sensei Ray 3rd Dan |
